(“GIB”) to co develop a state-of-the-art Assembly Plant in Nigeria to supply Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in support of RIPLE’s Renewable Energy investments
The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (‘NSIA’ or ‘The Authority’), through its wholly-owned renewable energy subsidiary – Renewables Investment Platform for Limitless Energy (‘RIPLE’), alongside North South Power Company Limited (‘NSP’) are jointly investing in a pioneer 20MW solar-hydro hybrid project in Shiroro, Niger State.
RIPLEnergy Company Limited (‘RIPLE’) and PASH Global Management Limited (‘PASH’) have executed a Joint Venture (‘JV’) agreement to develop and operate a 2.6 megawatt peak (MWp) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) plant with a 6 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery storage system in Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (“NSIA” or “The Authority”) has launched a $500m Renewables Investment Platform for Limitless Energy (“RIPLE”). This transformative initiative is dedicated to the development, investment, and operation of renewable energy projects across the entire value chain.
This collaboration with GIB marks a monumental step for RIPLE towards achieving its objective of establishing local control of the renewable energy supply chain in Nigeria, thereby ensuring energy security.
The NSIA: Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) and the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) have signed a strategic partnership agreement to advance sustainable development and drive energy transition in Nigeria.
This strategic partnership is in alignment with the Authority’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development and cleaner more efficient energy solutions in Nigeria. It is also a clear indicator of NSP’s intent to be Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading renewable power generation company.
